This is functionally a duplicate of #784.

Closing off in favour of that one. SBus on the DSC sockets, Module bay and S.Port jack would all be useful additions.

Sbus in and out in the module bay i have 3 TX modules that use sbus with Ardupilot as i would say there would thousands out there in the same bout that cant use them i cant see what the issues is the same radio runs sbus in and out in module bay pins on edgdtx and opentx and fros

In use the DCS plug with an sbus to Cppm now works fine with the master on ethos with all the older Accst systems with the XM receiver but now they are getting newer X20 and X18 and i don't wish use the cable as it gets in the road 20210204_173745

Be aware there’s fundamentally 2 different requests here.

  1. Accept SBus input for trainer
  2. Accept trainer input on the module bay

The first must happen before any variant of these requests will occur. Right now SBus is not supported as trainer input anywhere. Once SBus trainer support is there it’s just a matter of designating which potential inputs are enabled for it.

Note that full MPM Telemetry support would functionally solve this as well (as MPM modules can function as FrSky ACCST receivers) so long as their telemetry is supported for Trainer input

As an FYI - the Linker modules only work on a couple older radios anyways (X9D+, X12S and maybe the original QX7), the ACCESS radios don’t support them IIRC, even on OpenTX.
