Main screen ergonomy

I received my X20S and flee last weekend with some models. Very promising software !

I think the first main screen (fly screen) and its pages are clearly behind the whole system in terms of functions. I hope LUA and community support will improve that. For the moment, here is some function that I would like to see happening.

• [ ] Trim numeric value are way too small !! I almost can't read it even when I am not flying.

• [X] Allow us to replace the layout of an already defined screen.

• [ ] Allow us to show trims on any screen pages, or make a widget to display the four trims values as an ensemble. It's unfortunate to have to choose between telemetry value and trim display.

• [ ] I understand the necessary early stage branding, but the logo is quite massive on every screen. Can it be an option to replace the ETHOS logo with the current model name centered for example ? Ethos already have a menu for top bar config.

• [X] Layouts. I would like this layout ! Two big information, and a lot of telemetry spaces.

  

6. More value display option a. Colors b. Font Sizes c. Prefix icons (a battery a icon etc.)

7. More widgets ! a. Throttle cut widget (as talked here #274) b. Make a widget that display trims. c. Allow us to show a channel value d. Allow us to show an inter position etc. e. Current Flight mode (but it is already asked #382) f. A widget that would display a value, but also the min and the max observed for that value. g. Allow us to display an image (not only the model image). I imagine a usage : to be able to make cheatsheet about flight mode or checklist. h. Nice to have : Gauges i. Nice to have : Mini telemetry graph ! (like excel sparkline) j. Crazy : built-in artificial horizon for S8R (I suppose it will more probably come from lua support ?)

Please tell us more about what is in the roadmap. Thanks a lot for your work and for listening to your customer base !

I believe part of the comment above could be solved by adding the TRIM values to the Widgets! .I've also missed this and it would also be my resquest!

I also agree with point 5. More Screen layout options are needed. The one suggested is a must.

Could you add an "if" logic statement to one of the widgets..example if: RSSI low then: RSSI value if: Batt low then: Batt value if: logic switch motor armed then: Mot Armed bitmap etc etc else: ALLOK Bitmap

Yes! Also, the trim display still shows if a trim is disabled.

There is a trim widget, but it doesn't display anything for me on 1.4.8.

Agreed. I don't need to be reminded that I'm running EthOS all the time. The model name would be much more useful.
