DFU device not detected #4777

My x18 will not turn on it will on go in to bootloader, so I am trying to write a newer bootloader in case the one on my tx is corrupted. But when the switched of tx is plugged into the pc I click on DFU flasher in ethos suites click on the latest bootloader, but then I get a message saying DFU device not detected. Do I need to install a specific usb driver if so could you send me a link please Thanks

Thanks fixed it you have to click on DFU flasher then select the file you want then connect the tx. I was connecting the tx before clicking DFU flasher

If teh X18 powers on in Bootloader, check the version. If you have a bootloader older than 1.4.15 it cannot boot ETHOS 1.5 or later.

The solution is to manually flash ETHOS 1.4.17 to the radio (by downloading from Github and copying to the radio's internal storage). Then power on in ETHOS, connect to the computer and use a current version of Suite (1.5.11 or later) to update the radio
