For glider/plane:

skyfly74 commented 3 years ago

SNAP FLAP (prf vers courbure) -idem courbure

I agree with skyfly74 . For me what is really missing since the beginning and which is essential in glider :

Can we please also see added to the Wizard, a last page where we can set the channel we want for each of the defined outputs?

RC-SOAR commented 2 years ago

@bsongis-frsky "if 2 fins and 2 flaps, then propose a butterfly mix (which parameters?)"

For the flaps, a separate offset mix would be useful, since - unlike other control surfaces - the servo centre does not always correspond to the neutral position.

@skyfly74 @bsongis-frsky vraiment bizarre les dernières lignes... removed...added...removed...added...

If v tail is used Differential Rudder not working

Do not forget in ethos 1.5.0 (or earlier, if possible) to add gear options in the widgets for planes, gliders, helos, and drones. I suggest initially adding to the landing gear channels 0, 1, 2, 3, listed at the end of channel list, just after the rest of assigned channels. Then, in the future add support for doors, etc

Working with users that are new to Ethos I saw several issues around programming a delta or only wing configuration.

Currently you need to choose "none" for everything to create delta or only wing.

This is not very intuitive. In a wizard I expected a "delta" or "combined airleron/elevon" menu point (however you call it in English) to choose.

Especially as there are delta with a rudder. Which makes it even more confusing. With a explicit delta point you could as well create a delta with rudder through the wizard.

i also suggest adding a channel for "Wheel steering" as an option, with seperate mix and trim. this is very useful for models using a seperate servo for steering (such as all jet models, but also many more).

yes a flying wing configuration is also missing.

there was also talks about a prebuilt template for RB/SR users with all the gyro channels predefined to some default. this will greatly help the pilots using these systems.
