I don't know if the data generated to show Distance based on GPS data is computed in the TX or the GPS, but for sure either the algorithm to do that job is not in the TX nor the FrSky GPS. However, I found a solution that that issue by using Arduino DIY FrSky telemetry. Mine is based on an Arduino Uno and an off-the-shelf 8N type GPS, and that gave me Course, as you can see from the attached log. DHC-6-2023-10-06-09-15-58.csv
Thank you Richard, Somewhat new to Ethos at this point I like both Frsky and Ethos. I fly sailplanes and appreciate the fact I can get the telemetry I need. This is my first TX with telemetry and just starting to see its capabilities. Cheers. The GPS sensor doesn't return this information!
Another question. Using the Frsky gps, is there a way to have it read out on the screen what physical direction the sailplane is traveling? I'm using a x18se with ethos Thanks for all your help
