Device Config SXR Self Check is always Greyed Out #25

I'm not sure if this is a problem or just me not understanding something.

Under Device Config and SXR there are a number of lines, half way through is Self check which has Off / On positions. Initially I wondered if I could get the rx to go into self check by simply moving it to On (that'd be really neat, save having to toggle the Ch12 switch 3 times in 2secs) and ensure ch3 is at -100% , however I don't seem to be able to move the virtual switch, even with an S8R rx connected and configured. I then wondered if it moved itself automatically when the rx went into Self check (unlikely I know, but just trying to understand things), but no, the rx light goes blue but this remains in the OFF position.

I can't help think either this line does nothing or it's not working - either way I'd suggest it needs fixing.

In an ideal world I'd suggest that we are able to toggle the virtual switch so that it puts the rx into Self check without us knackering our switches and it automatically doing it's stuff with ch12 and putting ch3 to the required -100% please.

Or am I missing something?

(I've not checked other gyro rx etc. as I only have S8R.)

S8R does not support self-check in the menu, only on Ch12. It's greyed out because it's not supported by your receiver.

You need an Archer or Archer Pro SR for Self Check in the SxR menu to be supported.

That makes sense, so should that line be removed from the S6R / S8R configs.

this configtool is working for the old SRx as well so it is needed.

So is SxR a misnomer if it is used for both SxR and SRx? It seems whatever is going on it isn't clear.

yes. SxR SRx uses this config The "new" RX plus an so on need own LUA

What would be very nice is if the model is defined with an S6R or S8R for the LUA to do as mentioned above for Ch3 and Ch12 when the Self Check slider is selected or to carry on working as now for SRx rx.

If that can't be done for some reason then at the very least I'd suggest the config should be renamed from SXR to e.g SXR, SRX. It's somewhat confusing when you have an SxR rx and select the SXR config to find out that not all of it applies to SxR rx.

The Archer SR's use the same basic setup configuration as the SxR's.

Greyed out means it doesn't apply.

There is a Device Config redesign in the works (which will add support for the new ADV Stabilizers). Until then, it will stay as is.
