Register Rx on first contact with Tx #32

When I buy a receiver, it is often for a specific model. And when I get the receiver, I often (always) update the firmware via the accompaning cable to my radio. Is it an idea at the same time register the receiver to the specific model created in the radio?

No. you may update Rx on any model memory. and if you update OTA - its already registered.

I would love to see Registration done at first touch, at least as an option. Functionally ELRS does this with Bind phrases at firmware update and allowing the radio to send the receiver the current owner registration ID of the updating radio would be the same useful function.

Bind to specific model/receiver slot however is not something I'd like. That's also very easy to do on ACCESS/TANDEM/TWIN with only powering on the receiver, so no real impact on usability.
