Icon for pinning navbar missing #535

DESCRIPTION

Some elements of the NavBar have not been rendered correctly in its unfolded state (e.g. icons for pinning, logo and environment information).

This was caused by a side effect of the useTimeout hook. The timeout is now set differently and a useEffect is used to clear the timeout.
