By the way, this is brilliant, and in no way a complaint. But is there any way to get my PS5 controller to work with the game - it works in steam, and with DS4Windows in the case of GOG.

Again, loving the mod!

I use DS4Windows with Steam without issue. I have my DS5 controller set to hidden in DS4Windows so the PC only sees one Xbox controller.

The game uses the first controller found for P1 and it's not configurable. Sometimes you have to go into the in-game controller settings and reset controller binds using the keyboard.

If you still have trouble, you can look for zmod.exe and zmod_32.dll in an older release and use that to launch the game (make sure you remove dinput8.dll if you try this). No guarantee it will work but could be worth trying.

Btw, I found out what was wrong. The hint was in your reply - it uses the 1st controller - My default controller was vJoy, which was not configured to the PS5 controller. I uninstalled vJoy, and viola, it worked! Thank you kindly!
