Proton (came w/ steam) and proton-tkg-git installed, no steam folder in /usr/share, gives me the "not installed or need to export" error #4

I run any protonfit command in my fitgirl repack folder with the setup.exe, but it gives me the following error: " :: ERROR: you need to have proton installed or you need to export PROTON, which defaults to /usr/share/steam/compatibilitytools.d/proton_tkg_makepkg/proton " image

I dont know how to "export" proton, and if I did there is no steam directory under /usr/share: image

I DO have proton-tkg-git from the chaotic AUR installed, couldnt get chatoic working in pacman so i installed it though pamac with no errors. (vkd3d-proton-tkg-git on pamac, latest ver) and i DO Have steam with Proton installed (and steam games launch just fine with it).

What am I doing wrong? Running the latest version of Arch Linux btw, as well as latest GNOME (43).
