Merging multiple PR requests if planned in the future is currently a bit messy. For example, if two people are working on one update with two pull requests..
How will the update be unified into one update? Push, merge to main and find out!
How will the pull request(s) be tested? Currently, fetching a branch seems to be the best way.

Create a dev/experimental/nightly branch for single or multiple PRs to prevent breaking the main game code.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Locally fetching branches and merging new changes.
Merging branches after making an extra git clone just in case.
In theory: Merging to main, testing, and quickly changing a possible mistake.
