Suddenly my sipdroid does not work on my android phone, despite it working for
years and despite me having made no changes to my phone. Does anyone else have
this problem?
Although it has worked fine for a long time for me, suddenly on Sept 29, 2013
(and thereafter) it no longer works on my phone. Instead of having a green dot
(signifying it is connected), I get a red dot and the message "registration
failed (404 not found)".
I had not installed any new apps nor made any changes to my phone. It happened
quite suddenly. Restarting and reinstalling sipdroid do not help. I can still
login to pbxes.org. I tried changing my datacenter on pbxes.org, but that did
not help. I have google voice installed on my phone. I have no problems
connecting to the internet. I don't know what the cause of the problem could be.
I am using sipdroid version 2.7. I know it is not the most recent version, but
I have had no problems with it before. (Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade to the
newest version for technical reasons.)
My android is version 2.1 (yes, I know it's old, but again, I've had no
problems before). It is a motorola cliq. My attempts to use sipdroid have been
via wifi (I have no data plan).
Any help you could provide me would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
-Adam
