I propose opening a new branch, jk1, to experiment without harming the wildlife.

@Arithmeticus Thank you! I'd like to merge this in, since I am sure your simple XSLT is better than the one I was trying to go directly into tan:collate()... :-) But yes, let's keep this branch open for further experimentation!

You may want to try my "chunk 27" files as an input for something a little less thorny...I used those to feature some good things about tan collate in my paper. But I think I'll now go back to the complicated chunk 11 now that I have a better clue what I'm doing and see how it turns out...
