SGA-Notebooks: Separate witnesses in short passages #40

Closed ebeshero closed 6 years ago

In the Notebooks' handling of Safie's history and Victor's journey to England in c57, we see some rewritten passages. Long passages appear to be struck out (with vertical deletion marks) and subsequent pages seem to contain rewritings of the same material. We also see something of this in the last pile of pages in c58.

I think we should treat these passages as a separate witness in the collation as they are simply that--alternate versions of the same passage.

In this issue, I'll record which segments appear to be repeated:

<!--2018-03-28 ebb: From here (c57-0081) to c57-0086 is a rewrite of pages c57-0077 to c57-0080. Treat as a separate witness, like the closing passage(s) of c58? -->

See issue #38

With this commit (https://github.com/ebeshero/Pittsburgh_Frankenstein/commit/c7091b97438f36efc78d7270b877e9868dc7aafd ) I have excerpted the first fragmentary passage on Safie's journey in a separate collation witness file. The second version, which appears to be complete, I've left in the continuous collation file for c57.

We now have several separate collation witnesses in the S_GA files, drawn from c-57 and c-58.
