Viewer is not showing lines of poetry as blocks

In reviewing C10 we see that our viewer is incorrectly rendering lines of poetry, running them inline as if they are prose. There are two or three stanzas of poetry scattered throughout Frankenstein that we'll need to be displaying correctly. Here's a screenshot to document what's wrong:

Here there are supposed to be line breaks between these places where we see text run together without white space. (I'm marking in where we should be seeing white spaces using a slash mark here):

• "dread, / And"
• "on, / And"
• "head, / Because"
• "fiend / Doth"
