Performance Slowdowns #1529

After 30 minutes to an hour on a stream with a fast chat I get really bad slowdowns when typing in the chat box. When typing, letters will show on screen a half second late and sometimes even freeze the video player for a second. Refreshing the page totally fixes the issue. This only happens in chats with like 20k+ viewers and after some length of time. It feels like maybe too many emotes are loaded into memory over time and performance gets progressively worse until I refresh the page. I didn't have this issue with 7tv, but I really prefer everything about ffz so hopefully this can be sorted out.

I am using an older i7 laptop with only 8gb of ram

Can confirm, I have the same problem.

OS: W10
Browser: Firefox
Version 128.0.3 (64-bit)
Other Extensions: Ublock Origin

Same setup, but more modern hardware.

This happens for me as well in windows 10/chrome.
