I tried to build using the easyconfig in the public repo but failed.

There is no existing easyconfig for this software; it will need to be built. It looks like the project recommends precompiled binaries, and they have submodules to four external software projects. Using the precompiled binaries may be the best/easiest route as there do not appear to be build instructions and they have done internal dependency resolution.
