App greys out

Many users have noticed that the app greys out. We're not entirely clear why it happens.

One thing we should try is the keep-alive setting for the Shiny server, see

Might become low-priority if we can enable cookies to eliminate re-logging in...

@dtenenba I think you were taking a look at this. Any progress?

It would be good if we could assemble some of the reports of this issue and see if we have enough information to reproduce this consistently.

In the meantime we could look into the timeouts thing.
