I've looked into this previously, my main take away was that the lack of a 'nice' expression for a subpoissonian distribution brought around a fair amount of difficulty. But I agree that we should look back over what Chris wrote and see what can be brought across, it will at least give us a model for quantum dots which whilst maybe not so suitable for satellites in the short term is at least useful for extending the model to include fibre networks.
Currently the private functions used to evaluate key rate and QBER for BB84 and its decoy cousin assume poissonian distributed sources. However the mission (and future missions) will include highly engineered single photon sources in the subpoissonian regime. These cannot currently be accounted for.
This may require additional source properties (e.g. g2) and modified or new private functions. Chris wrote some code against which we were testing our modelling a while ago which performed both finite key and subpoissonian analysis for decoy BB84. This would be useful to include.
