Model railroads are not subject to ADA standards. While I am all for inclusivity, this question is not relevant to our standards.
Is ADA required for model railroads, certainly not, but inclusivity is the reason this is an issue for us to consider here.
I have a friend who is a part time wheel chair user ( his balance is terrible and he can’t feel his feet ). He likes Free-moN, but he can’t stand for long enough to operate. He has point blank said he won’t build a module because he can’t see it from the chair.
Maybe nothing will come from the discussion, but it is certainly one we need to have.
How do we apply the standard when individuals in wheelchairs are participating. 50” height is too tall for these individuals.
