In some Qt 5 applications the text in textboxes isn't visible. #109

Sorry if this is wrong place to report this problem.

First, I reported this problem to KDE, but later another FreeBSD user said he has the same problem with SDDM, an another Qt application. He confirmed that he is having the same symptoms as I, and also said that switching the driver to nvidia fixes the issue.

This made me think that the bug is not on KDE side, but driver or FreeBSD related.

Feel free to close this, if this has nothing to do with kms-drm.

It turned out that having QML_DISABLE_DISTANCEFIELD env var set to 1 makes the problem go away.

Setting QSG_DISTANCEFIELD_ANTIALIASING=gray solves it. No need for QML_DISABLE_DISTANCEFIELD=1. Also see freebsd bug 237662
