I guess it's ok for now to just do that as the amdgpu driver only uses this function from the power_supply subsystem.

Also, is this relevant to pick into v4.16 as well?

Since circa 2002 (freebsd/freebsd@3f245d8dd193f). I am not sure if power_supply_is_system_supplied is really used and if it makes any difference. But if it does, then it should be relevant for that branch as well.
