Transcription Agreement Sign up (existing transcribers) #107

Closed PatReynolds closed 7 years ago

PatReynolds commented 8 years ago

For URGENT discussion Needed for new volunteers, if routed via FreeCEN2, rather than manual sign up / recording. Needed for existing volunteers, could be via FreeCEN2 or via a google form, manually fed into FreeCEN2. I have given all the volunteers for whom I have an email address a unique ID.

richpomfret commented 7 years ago

Awaiting update on potential new volunteer gateway prior to anything being done on this.

124 and #125,8 cover implementation in FreeCEN for new transcribers: this issue (with #118) is therefore relabled to 'existing transcribers'.

richpomfret commented 7 years ago

Question over how we handle users who have multiple co-ordinators (or regions).

edickens commented 7 years ago

In FR a User can only have one Syndicate Coordinator. But they can work for as many Counties as they wish. Is they do not want their transcriptions to be Open Data, then that will apply to all their work across all Counties.

dougkdev commented 7 years ago

Previous issue #104 also related.

and #175

PatReynolds commented 7 years ago

Yes, as Eric suggests: if a transcriber sings or declines, that applies to all their transcriptions. I wonder if this question was prompted because a transcriber working in multiple counties may be working under multiple t and cs. That. Can also happen within a county eg one church says open but private cemetary says closed. Permissions by access-givers are different. I can imagine that in some cases the access cover might also be a transcriber, but would be treated as different entities, of different types. Pat Reynolds Executive Director, Free UK Genealogy

Yes, there are two reasons why we may not be able to provide Open Access to a transcription.

benwbrum commented 7 years ago

We believe that this can be accomplished by a merge from master to pick up the FreeREG changes @Vino-S is working on, once they are in master.

Vino-S commented 7 years ago

The code is in test2

PatReynolds commented 7 years ago

Does sign up to Agreement reflect in the field in User noted by Doug: Transcription agreement accepted? (This is the current field, I'm not sure if it is changing with what you have Vino doing regarding the agreement work) Also needs to record reading of Code of Conduct and Volunteer Induction Handbook. Does it record date of volunteering (and hence of these aspects?)

Vino-S commented 7 years ago

Hi @PatReynolds ,

Do you want me to add Code of conduct and Volunteer Induction handbook Check-boxes for existing transcribers too?

helhyde commented 7 years ago

No, not needed, thank you.

@FreecenBren reported issue by email Reference 81101624 Thursday, July 27, 2017 5:14 PM I was unable to replicate.

PatReynolds commented 7 years ago

@Vino-S please could you (temporarily) remove the Open data invitation from the login page. We are not going to invite volunteers to sign it until we have a working communications system (and have used it to communicate with our volunteers).

Vino-S commented 7 years ago

Hi @PatReynolds ,

Temporarily removed the Open Data sign up invitation.

PatReynolds commented 7 years ago

TY - will create new story to reinstate.

richpomfret commented 7 years ago

Complete (as much as we can do here) so moving to done. A few additional stories are required before this is completely finished.
