Regent Road Lancashire #1464

There are 2 Regent Roads in Lancashire, one in Morecambe and one in Blackpool. There are over 33000 search records that point to the one entry. I need a report of about 500 random records that point to Regent Road so that I can see what is going on, please. I need to get rid of the Regent Road gazetteer entry and point the records to the correct place name. We had the same problem with streets in Liverpool all geolocated to Liverpool docks. It took ages to sort out. Geoff

@geoffj-FUG can you provide Vino with the old place name and new place name she will run the rake task for this.

@Vino-S I need a data sample to see whether it is all one Regent Road or both. I know the old place name but until I can see a data sample I cannot tell which is the correct place name. I am hoping that we can use the census civil parish to sort it out. The sample should include District, piece parish folio page schedule and a surname. I can then look at the clues in the sample. A csv file would be great, please. Geoff

@geoffj-FUG I will send you an example output run against Test3 just to check the format is what you need. It will be a CSV file with 500 randomly selected records for 'Regent Road' in LAN, sorted by Schedule within Page within Folio within Piece Number.

Thank you - problem solved they are all Salford. So I can fix them all up as Salford without having to sort them out piece by piece.

Sample from Production proves this result. Moved to On Ice until the vld set can be re-validated. Geoff
