Display of ENG, IRL SCT and WLS places of birth chapman codes in Search results #937

At the moment, a place of birth with a SCT or IRL code (or ENG in Scotland) is displayed in the search results as a blank - although they are alphabetised if one sorts them - so knowing that you would be able to guess who was in Scotland, etc!

See a search for this Ireland-born George Alcock "General Register Office: 1861 Census Returns database, FreeCEN (https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5904ab2be9379091b1a6ea15 : viewed 18 Aug 2020), George ALCOCK, St James Square, Lansdowne, Somerset, England; from 1861 "England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images; citing The National Archives RG 9/1695, Folio 89, Page 8, Schedule 50, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

And this Engand-born Joseph Alcock "Scottish General Register Office: 1841 Census Returns database, FreeCEN (https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5a151548f4040b9d6e20f958 : viewed 18 Aug 2020), Joseph ALCOCK in household of Joseph ALCOCK, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland; from 1841 "England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images; citing The National Archives HO 107/10, Folio 5, Page , Schedule Back Street, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

And Scottish born Edward Price "General Register Office: 1841 Census Returns database, FreeCEN (https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5a1465dbf4040b9d6e5c0d78 : viewed 18 Aug 2020), Edward PRICE in household of Edward PRICE, Devonport Borough, Devon, England; from 1841 "England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images; citing The National Archives HO 107/2, Folio 6, Page , Schedule Barrack Street, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

And Wales born Bridget Price "General Register Office: 1861 Census Returns database, FreeCEN (https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/59058844e9379091b1540538 : viewed 18 Aug 2020), Bridget PRICE in household of James PRICE, Back Holborn, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, England; from 1861 "England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images; citing The National Archives RG 9/1917, Folio 161, Page 18, Schedule 83, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

As an aside ... I think Bridget Price is the most widely-travelled name - there are 29 found, only 11 with a county of birth (and two of those with Irish counties ...

I have reviewed the examples above. Since the development of FC2 this issue appears to have been resolved. Examples 1, 2 and 3 are all OK.

However ... 19 year old Bridget is transcribed correctly as born in Wakes. Her parents and a sibling are all showing Ireland correctly. Bridget however is not showing Wales for the Chapman Code. Details of each person in the dwelling Surname Forenames Relationship Marital Status Sex Age Occupation Birth County Birth Place Disability Notes PRICE James Head M M 60 Labourer Ireland -
PRICE Bridget Wife M F 55 Ireland -
PRICE Patrick Son U M 26 Tailor Ireland -
the person found in your searchPRICE Bridget Dau U F 19 -
PRICE Margaret Dau U F 16 Staffordshire

So it appears that we may have a bug when it comes to Wales. This file is in the vld data collection.

936 reports the same issue for UNK. This is directly related to #936.

UNK appears to be displaying properly, as are SCT, IRL and ENG. WLS is not.

So the problem appears to be limited to Wales.
