Issue reported by REGManager at 2023-02-16 12:10:01 UTC Time: 2023-02-16T11:59:19+00:00 Session ID: 38173e5abffe1853e562701a7b104609 Problem Page URL: /attic_files/select_userid Previous Page URL: https://www.freereg.org.uk/feedbacks/new?utf8=%E2%9C%93&feedback_time=2023-02-16+11%3A51%3A51+UTC&session_id=38173e5abffe1853e562701a7b104609&user_id=REGManager&problem_page_url=%2Fattic_files%2Fselect_userid&previous_page_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.freereg.org.uk%2Fmanage_resources%2Fnew%3Flocale%3Den&feedback_type=issue Reported Issue: At present, only when files are Replaced or Deleted is a copy put in the Attic. So if an entry is Edited online the previous version of that entry is lost. I suggest that whenever an Entry is Added, Edited or Deleted online, then a vesion of the File is put in the Attic. But this could result in lots more files going to the Attic, especially if many entries are edited at the same time. So it is only necessary to put a copy of the file in the Attic once during an Edit session. To do this it will be necessary to put a copy in the Attic before an edit is made, but then do not put another copy in the Attic if the filename and date are the same. We only need to recover a version before any changes were made, not before every change. We have the situation now that if a file is Uploaded, and never Replaced, and then online Edits are made, there is no version in the Attic.
