Can you expand on what 'this' is? New monumental insrciption projects? Taking (open) data from monumental transcription projects? Re-transcribing images presented on the web by other projects? We have already been approached by billiongraves.com about receiving our data.
A data manger project. Could be a good source of data to transcribe.
As for access to our transcriptions, the best for now is to add a link to us in their website. But in future versions we could give them more access. And we need to work with them so that when we transcribe there is a link in the Film/Image number back to their pictures.

I raise a RED FLAG at this point.
Until everyone has signed up to your Agreement, you cannot give away copies of blocks of data like this seems to be saying.
OR you have Implemented and Tested properly the software that only allows such give-aways to be done for those batches that are covered by such Transcriber's agreement
Exactly, which is why I said "In future versions". The whole question of permissions and how we record them has to be sorted out, but that is V1.7, transcriber enhancements.
Absolutely - we have stories about sharing only open data, which are not yet in development. We need to take account of long term plans when making decisions such as this.

The recording of permissions is #525. The development of sharing tools are stories yet to be written.

I would be reluctant to record from graveyards (a opposed to transcribing earlier transcriptions) as there is a developed fieldwork methodology for this work, and it would be better to work with those who are trained (County Archaeology Societies and outreach from university departments, for example) so we can have their data and serve it.
For one of us to get in touch with the website and find out about permission rights.
Not just this website - all gravestone recording organisations. For discussion with Mick on sourcing data/images.
There are considerations with gravestones which @Captainkirkdawson might want to comment on: they are rather like FreeCEN, in that they are in a sense 'households', and the fact that a number of individuals appear on the same stone, often with the relationships spelled out (wife of, son of, lifelong companion of, faithful servant of, etc. etc.). Is it our intention to capture and present such relationships, or do we leave that to the website/project creating the transcriptions, and only serve the information by which it would be found (e.g. first and last name, place of burial, etc.)
I think that the information contain on gravestones is very important to capture, as it can add another layer to a researchers history. You do find things like 'wife of' in parish registers from time to time , as Pat noted, but often parish burial information is limited to name and date of burial. The gravestone will often give more information, such as relationships, date of death, ages and so forth.
MIs are in my view an important part of family history, so to include all information on the stones would be of great benefit to our researchers.

Another source we could (with their permission) re-serve (with link back so that folks could get to the details) is Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
MI's can now now be added to the burial record . Unless there is a proposal to go and search for sources of this information I suggest it be closed and a new story written for the latter aspect if it is to be persued
Should we promote this to CCs? For example this website that Graham Upton has pointed out to me... http://www.gravestonephotos.com/index.php?scrwidth=1200 Although not a complete register, MI do act as confirmation and sometimes provide more information. E
