Issue reported by REGManager at 2020-08-24 08:06:57 UTC Time: 2020-08-24T08:05:34+00:00 Session ID: b05ab9a561fe1ffcec75c46fc0d3d421 Problem Page URL: /manage_resources/new?locale=en Previous Page URL: https://www.freereg.org.uk/messages?locale=en Reported Issue: I have just had a Contact from a researcher in Australia asking how they can donate. It took me a while to find the link in the footer. It is not very prominent. I thought we used to have a button in the main header bar against the Help? Was that taken away?

E5 C3 S7 C6: P 21

There is a button at the bottom of the Search Results but that is often off the bottom of the screen.

Taken from the header to make more space for the other things.
I'm trying to get donate as a message onto the cookie consent, but to remind people of donating I think we need to look for other places for the button.

@PatReynolds snf @DeniseColbert to look for places to put it.

Transferred to systemwide as there are places which occur in all websites, but then thought better of it and will just do for FreeREG in this instance and indicate which places are systemwide:

"About" - place in box in right panel, at bottom, suggested text "You can help keep FreeREG and our other sites free, forever, by donating" [SYSYTEMWIDE]

"Help" - place in box in right panel, at bottom, suggested text "If we've helped you, can you help us by volunteering or donating?"" [SYSYTEMWIDE] - 'volunteering' links to in-site volunteering page

"locale/show place" page (details of what's been transcribed by decadel) - left hand column at bottom the "If we've helped you ..." version.

Possibly in Unique names ... mostly because pushing to two columns would reduce the line length and make it more readable.

I have not looked at placing close to adverts as the advert-we-put-in-unfilled-advert-slots needs to go there and will include invitations to donate.
