Suggested modification: Talk Editor button #590

From my use of Freeseer, I feel like it's not obvious that the talk editor is a core part of the functionality. Ideally all major functionality should be immediately available to the user without them having to go through all the options in File, Options etc. Right now it seems hidden away.

I was thinking maybe there could be a Talk Editor button on the main Record screen which could open it up. That would also indicate to the user that it's functionality which we feel is useful enough to be immediately available to them.

Here's the mock-up : https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1Dm6obcjigEvm2e9qDuGScCm-jhnRgVDRu17qc_PkgWY/edit?usp=sharing

This is on purpose, configuration and talk editing should not be part of the recording UI in my opinion because the focus of the Recording UI is that it is designed to be simple and only contain what a volunteer recording a conference needs to actually see.

In our use case we typically datafill all the talk data before a conference starts so there is usually no need for a volunteer to ever need to configure talks. The less a volunteer sees on the screen the less they can be confused about and the more than can focus on only what they need to do which is pressing the record button after selecting a talk from the drop down and stopping the recording once the presentation is over.

I would argue the automated talk button that was added last term is also a button that is unnecessary on this screen. A volunteer would not need to see this button I think because if we were going to use automated recording mode a technical person on the team would set it up and then leave the recording setup to do it's thing. I feel like the automated talk button is distracting in cases where a real human is sitting at the station using the recording UI.

Oh okay that makes sense. If the focus is mainly on the presenter, or some technical person setting up Freeseer and then a volunteer does the recording then there should be that disconnect. But then that makes it less intuitive for someone who wants to set it up and record with it as well.
