Hey @DreadKnight , looking to take a break from the Nakama stuff and work on something else. Can you clarify a bit more what you're looking to achieve with this task? For example, what if the viable target has multiple hexes, how would the icon appear over the hexagon? So clicking on the target wouldn't use the ability it would show the ability on the hexagon intead? Clicking again would target the unit meaning actually use the ability? Sorry, for all the questions, not sure I'm understanding this task.
@rianconley I was probably trying to make players focus less on side icons and improve the flow, focus and speed of the combat by just clicking on units and getting the corresponding actions. I think this might be rather problematic (AoE abilities especially) and conflicting with other stuff, some of which was already implemented since, like when clicking on an unit to see queue position. This was kind of related to the "move and attack" #980 idea in some ways, kinda like HoMM3 fans expect this game to work so they just tend to click on inactive creatures to attack them, sadly xD Might axe this one, at least for now and point you to another issue that's very important #1634
When an ability is usable, clicking on viable target unit should make that ability icon appear over the hexagon, targeting that unit if tapped again, even the active unit if it's an ability that can be self cast.
In case of multiple usable abilities on the same target, the other ones should be stacked vertically. Those abilities should be sorted by having the one with the lowest number be closer to the bottom.
