Fixed up auth and permission errors for React and Firebase. This branch was set up to fix the issues of feature/8. If this pull request is merged, feature/8 will become defunct and should be disregarded or updated to reflect the changes.

The user is able to see messages that have been posted and the user is able to post messages. This shouldn't have taken so long but here it is. Yes, there are still some commented out code fragments in there...
