Feature Request

Hello guys, I was wondering if you planned to move to CKEditor 5 in a next release.

Getting support on some CKEditor 4 plugins is becoming harder every day, this is my main motivation for asking this.

Thanks for your insights!

Furthermore CKEditor 4 does not support nonce tags and uses a lot of onclick, onfocus etc. JS functions inline

Hello, is there a reason why the bundle does not use Ckeditor 5?

Hello, is there a reason why the bundle does not use Ckeditor 5?

Check the last commit date, this bundle is close to death.

Any plan to move to CKEditor 5?

To those already using CKEditor 5 and symfony: Have your done anything special? Are you using the raw editor without any special bundle glueing it?

We are going to start a new project with symfony 7.0 (to be released in the next days) and CKEditor, but I wouldn't want to "go back in time". I want the latest things in it.

I wonder if anyone is using CKEditor 5 successfully in symfony projects and if there's zero-glue or any other bundle (custom or public) that you guys are using.

Hello there!

I'm not sure an upgrade to CKEditor 5 is a good option considering the license change and it's not free anymore.

Hello there!

I'm not sure an upgrade to CKEditor 5 is a good option considering the license change and it's not free anymore.

Where did you find this information? The CKEditor 5 still free, the code is open source: https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor5

And here: https://ckeditor.com/pricing we have this: image

CKEditor had always a premium features

You can find here a note about how it is free for open-source projects: https://ckeditor.com/legal/ckeditor-oss-license/
