Hey, thanks for the suggestion! An issue here is a great place to put in for a feature request like this. The way the audio muting works is by reading accompanying captions/subtitles. I checked a few streams and pre-recorded videos and didn't see any with captions. If you have an example of one that does have captions/subtitles, I'd be happy to take a look.
I'm going to go head and close this. If anyone can find a way to enable captions/subtitles though, feel free to comment here and I'll investigate it.
Twitch has added closed captions as a feature that streamers can turn on.
To quickly find them go to twitch tags, ctrl-F, 'closed captions'. Any of those streams have integrated and native closed captions.
Would be super cool to add twitch to this service. LMK if I can help.
Note: not every live stream that has this tag actually has the service enabled. Click on one and look for the little [cc] box in the bottom corner.
And of course one would have to enable those for this to work. Adding twitch would be awesome to this service. I looked into a few years ago but twitch did not have the [cc] capability.
Thanks @izk8 for the info! I'll definitely take a look at it in the next few days when I get some time. At first glance it definitely looks like it should be possible to support it.
Just wanted to see if there was any progress made on this in the past. Some of my Twitch streamers have enabled captions, and it'd be huge to get audio muting for them!
My apologies for putting this in the issues as it is a feature request... but it would be great if at some point you could add the Twitch.tv domain to audio muting. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
