Architectural typology Presentation scale 1:1500

  1. OSM digitising has to be completed. Check how much is left, Find people responsible for digitising and ask for their progress status.
  2. Be sure we have all the issues solved before transferring the data into QGIS.
  3. Work on QGIS with hatches and patterns. Preferably black and white.
  4. Present the result to the team and ask if it's acceptable.

OSM does not have to be complete while designing, that is why using QGIS is very useful. How big should the print be?

scale 1:1500, I guess is about an A1 paper size.

On the dropbox project, there is a Print Composer that does exactly this.

Enjoy how ugly it is, but eh, it shows exactly what you want, and it shows it based on the latest data.

There are a few more tiny tricks that make designing using Composer easier, that I am still investigating. But by all means, use QGIS. It is made to create maps.
