Bugfix: Banjo tooie graphics issues #214

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable Fb textures
2. Get to the first boss fight
3. After you beat him the background is completely white

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should see the background graphics of the game world

What version of the product are you using? On which system and loader?
Beta 1.1, Wii

Please provide any additional information below.
If you don't enable Fb textures, white screen is overall but the framerate
is a bit better at 30+ fps, when enabled the fps does drop by atleast 10,
and makes the overall game-play & audio not great but mainly the graphics
are good but you get the odd white screen as told above.

Did you know that the same thing happens using the glN64 plugin
(wii64 uses this plugin) on PJ64 it reproduces the white texture problem with
banjo
having the shading box around him just like on WII64.

Because of this, that is the one reason why glN64 sucks.

By the way, this doesn't need open GL.

All everyone wants is a really good N64 emulator for wii.

I just tried it and it does have white textures.

Emulator:PJ64 1.6
Graphics Plugin:glN64 0.4.1

It also fixes with FB textures enabled that you can find in configure graphics
plugin.

But the FB textures currently fixes the problem better than WII64 by not
messing up
on the cheat entering room.

I've noticed that if you turn off the sound of the game it improves it's
speed... I have no idea what that means but I bet you do.

I hope the next Wii64 version Banjo-Tooie will be at least playable as
Banjo-Kazooie.
Maybe if there's an option of exchanging the video plugins?

Well according to what these guys last said, there porting over another
graphics plugin which is a lot more stable than the one they have now.

Infact here:

on Wii64 Banjo-Tooie, when in first-person view, all the graphics are white,
except for the enemies. it makes it hard to input the Cheato codes without
seeing the letters. :(
