freestyle related ring of death?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect wireless contoller via usb
2. Power down console
3. Ring of death flashes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.20

Please provide any additional information below.
I only noticed this today... this could be hardware issue on my end...?
Only happens when with controller plugged in.

You connect a wireless controller? 
Are you talking about the play and charge kit?
