Downloads but does not function #279

Hi! I previously downloaded and used Grid View successfully but when I heard there was an update I uninstalled and reinstalled but now the extension does not talk to google meet website.

I have cleared cache, restarted chrome, restarted my computer all with no luck. THe grid button on the meeting does not pop up at all.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-meet-grid-view-fix/dakebdbeofhmlnmjlmhjdmmjmfohiicn This is just a temporary workaround (which looses the pinning feature) [credits: @ma2shita], in order to allow people who heavily rely on the extension (e.g., online exams) to continue their work. The extension will be removed as soon as Chris is able to properly fix the issue. Just temporary disable the problematic extension and activate this one.

Unfortunately that didnt work for me either...

you need to be in a meet for the plugin to run, also disable the broken version extension so the patched one works

Those screenshots are from being in a meet call, just the upper corner. Normally the grid pops up next to the number of participants but it doesn't even do that anymore. I have removed the 1.37 and 1.39 still isnt working.
