French political parties are broken/"Unreadable String" #185

Explanation of the issue: When saving a game as France and reloading, all political parties have "Unreadable String" as the name of the party/ideology. I believe this may be related to the party descriptions of what their particular beliefs are. The same issue does not exist with England, Germany, Soviet Union, etc., - any of the other nations that I have tested this with. It is solely a France related problem.

Quick questions:

OS: HoI4 version: 1.7.1 Führerreich version: 0.3.3 Using Steam? Yes Were you in multiplayer? Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start as France

  2. Save game.

  3. Reload as France. All parties are named "Unreadable string" when you hover over them, and there are no longer "descriptions" for the party's beliefs.

Other info:

Possible cause: May be related to descriptions of political views for each party and unparsable text? This issue does not exist with other countries, because other countries do not have the expansive information about each party's beliefs for economy and a history of that party.

As a follow up, I have a solution to the problem which fixes it. Going into the localisation and finding the file "FR_France_l_english.yml", under the "party_long" strings, deleting the long explanations and replacing them with simple party names (Fédération Républicaine, Parti Communiste Française, etc.) from the abbreviations fixed this problem.

I would recommend, for the next update, that a simpler system be come up with for France's politics. It would be preferable to have abbreviations on the main nation screen and then the full name of the party when hovering over (without their policies, histories, etc.) to prevent something like this from coming up in the future. While it is a neat "feature", ultimately it messes with the localisation to the point where it bugs out and you get unreadable string every time you reload the game.
