Sherry,

Could you please let us know the detail navigation to download the WedADI excel file.

Could you request the user to attach the WebADI excel file that they used and usually when they upload it will show the validation error in that file. We would like to see that file and let you know what is the exact error that is stopping the user to upload the file.

Sherry,

I investigated the issue further after our Teams meeting and found that 19897440 and 19002385 patches will fix the issue but we already applied the patches on 04/21/2021. So I created a new SR 3-26708035471 for this issue. I will keep you posted when I receive updates from Oracle support.

Today I called Oracle and escalated the SR. Oracle has provided the below action plan to check whether the new data after the upgrade to 12.2.10 works or not. The existing data (territory) from 12.1.3 instance may be referring to a new column in the backend tables so they would like to check and compare the info in the backend. In the meanwhile, Oracle is also checking our original issue and working on the solution.

Could you please fwd the below info to Christel and we can test this.

**1. Create a new territory > Territory Management > Territory Administration > Territories > Create a new Territory Add a resource to the territory Add Matching attribute of Customer Name = (select 2 or 3 of your customers to add to this territory) Save

  1. Run STAR (Synchronize Territory Assignment Rules) concurrent request from Territory Management responsibility with the following parameters> Usage: Sales Refresh Mode: Total Refresh Verify that it completes successfully with no errors

  2. Export just the newly created territory to excel (do not download other territories in this file - we want JUST the new territory in the excel file)

  3. Make a change to ONE of the rows (delete one of the customer name rows) and try to upload the change via the Upload process Verify if you still get the error

  4. Upload the spreadsheet to the SR (I want to see the file whether it fails or not)**

As per Oracle's below request, could you please upload the spreadsheet to this issue ticket so that I will inform them that it works for the new one but not working for the existing ones. 'Upload the spreadsheet to the SR (I want to see the file whether it fails or not)'

I have escalated the SR 3-26708035471 to Sev-1. I will keep you posted when I get any major updates from them.

I posted a question to Oracle whether we can perform 'Delete' and 'Update' on multiple rows (multiple actions) and upload. Oracle has replied that 'you cannot do multiple actions (such as 'Delete' and 'Create' or 'Delete' and 'Update') at the same time. The upload process errors if the delete row has multiple matching attributes (for ex. if the row has 'Customer name' , Request type or any other matching attribute in the same row) will cause the upload process to error'.

In one of our test case that we tried in the past, we tried the above case so it has failed in INT 12.2.10 instance. Did the above test case worked in INT 12.1.3 instance? If that worked in the INT 12.1.3 instance then I can raise that question to Oracle why did they changed that functionality of performing multiple actions like 'Delete' and 'Update' on multiple rows in 12.2.10 version.

Coming back to the original issue, if we try to do 'Delete' action, it did not work. Oracle is trying to recreate this scenario and working on that.

Just an update....Oracle support has reviewed the diagnostics file from INT 12.210 instance and has confirmed that we are on the latest released version of the 4 files

Sherry,

We found a JTF_TERRITORY_PUB.Delete_Qualifier_Value API. Using that, we have successfully delete one line from the 'Anderson - Enterprise' in INT 12.2.10 instance.

Before testing this, I have downloaded all the data into WebADI template corresponding to 'Anderson - Enterprise'. Attached 'JTY_ HTML Other Territories-1.xlsm' file in a separate email. Highlighted the row in yellow which we deleted.

After executing that API on one record, it has successfully deleted. I have downloaded all the data again into WebADI template corresponding to 'Anderson - Enterprise'. Attached 'JTY_ HTML Other Territories_09012021_INT12.10-1.xlsm' file in a separate email.

Please review and let us know if you have any questions.

Tomorrow, we will 'Update' a record using API and let you know the results.

Status update....1) Today Sherry and had a Teams meeting. 2) It was decided that we don't need to create a program using API to 'Update' qualifiers. Generally end user don't use that option through WebADI template as well. They will 'Update' the territories at the header level.
3) Technical team has created a 'PBS Territory Value Delete Process' concurrent program with two parameters as shown below in the INT 12.2.10 instance image 4) We have created PBS_TERRITORY_VALUE_DELETE_PKG under APPS schema. Sherry has created the same package spec and body under PBS schema. 5) Technical team will delete that PBS_TERRITORY_VALUE_DELETE_PKG package under APPS schema and create a synonym of that package under PUBLIC schema. 6) Sherry will test the 'PBS Territory Value Delete Process' concurrent program on Tuesday (09/07/2021) and provides the feedback. This program is just a workaround solution till Oracle provides a permanent fix for the issue. 7) Today I have updated the info to Oracle support that they requested. I will continue to follow-up with them next week.

As shown in the above screenshot, there is no 'Request Group' assigned to the 'Sales Administrator' responsibility. Could you please let us know through which other responsibility you would like to access the 'PBS Territory Value Delete Process' concurrent program so that we can add that program to that request group.

  1. Package "PBS_TERRITORY_VALUE_DELETE_PKG" has been deleted from apps INT 12.2.10.
  2. SYNONYM "PBS_TERRITORY_VALUE_DELETE_PKG" created in Public Schema in INT 12.2.10.
  3. Please find attached document to migrate "PBS Territory Value Delete Process" concurrent program.

I have assigned 'PBS Territory Value Delete Process' concurrent program to 'PBS_SALES_REPORTS' and 'Territory Management' Request groups in INT 12.2.10 instance. Could you please test this from you end in that instance and let us know your feedback.

Thank you for retesting this after we enabled the trace and debug log in INT 12.2.10 instance. I have reverted the profile option values are setup at your user and site level in that instance.

I have uploaded the files to Oracle support for their review.

I will keep you posted when I get any updates from them.

Just an update....Oracle support has logged a Bug 33297342 for this issue. Oracle Development is working on this. I have requested Oracle support to publish the bug and attach that in the SR so that we can see their development progress.

Just an update...I have changed the 'Primary Contact' from me to Sherry and added Tina as an 'Alternate Contact' in the SR.

Tina - Do you prefer a new JIRA internal ticket and copy the content of this issue to there and close this issue or will you track this issue in GitHub itself.
