My initial idea was your option #1, but I also did mean to showcase some projects. I think we can start with the "how to"s, and then maybe we can think about showcasing projects. The blog functionality could serve as a way for people to read about past events and see projects.
same as my previous comment on the description-writing thing but i'm not sure how specific we wanna get with this, so i'll provide a couple options.
general overview option: "The Fancoders Discord holds Personal Website Club events every so often in which members spend a day focusing on building or editing their own personal websites. These events don't occur on any specific schedule, but are usually on weekends and always decided on in advance so members can RSVP. Members of the Fancoders Discord who are interested in joining the Personal Website Club events can give themselves a Discord role which will ping them when the role is mentioned or an event is happening."
more specific option: same as above, but we could include a second (and third and fourth etc if we want to list more) paragraph that describes some of the projects that people have worked on for previous Personal Website Club events, such as the time Ms. Boba was working on the Boba newsletter for the event (and other bobaboard stuff, i think i remember the card maker being a project that was brought up but cant find it in the thread, and the fandom bonanza neocities), links to websites that members have completed or worked on during the events, etc (i would need to trawl the discord threads for these, but i can do that if we wanna include them! lmk)
