1. Are the controls tight? In other words, do you feel like you are moving the way you intend to? The character was comfortable to maneuver and punching seemed natural. However, there seems to be a (probably intentional) delay for punches (i.e. constantly left-clicking usually produces one punch instead of multiple punches).

2. Are you able to intuitively overcome obstacles and navigate in the game? The enemies don’t move, nor do they damage the player, so they didn’t pose a threat. The pitfalls were easy to overcome thanks to the boost jump.

3. How does the boost jump game mechanic feel or make you feel? Does it work well within the level? The boost jump seems like a great idea that could be used to maneuver around enemies and cross long gaps. The sudden burst of speed I got when using it felt great. However, there were times when I would boost myself off of a platform. There were also strange instances where instead of getting giant bursts of speed, I ended up doing “mini hops” (as if I were rapidly pressing SHIFT).

4. How does punching enemies off the level feel or make you feel? Does it feel like it is testing your reflexes? None of the enemies did anything, so it didn’t feel like my reflexes were being tested. Despite this, punching enemies does have weight to it and watching them get pushed off of a platform feels satisfying.

5. What kind of visual or audio effects would you have liked to see during the gameplay? I would have liked to hear some sound effects when punching an enemy. Knocking a foe away while having an appropriate sound to accompany it (for example, the sound of shattered glass) could be a great way to make a player get pumped during combat. In addition, having a sound effect when using the boost jump can give the move more impact.

6. Does the objective of the game provide a challenge? Not at the current state of the prototype.
