1. Are the controls tight? In other words, do you feel like you are moving the way you intend to?
Yes, the controls work well. However, it is disorienting when the mouse is pointing at other direction and the front key also goes sideways. It took me a while to understand that wherever the mouse points, it becomes the front.
2. Are you able to intuitively overcome obstacles and navigate in the game?
Yes, the first and third red balls were easy to punch. The second one felt effortless because it fell by itself with the gravity. The other obstacles were easy to navigate as there is only one way to reach the goal.
3. How does the boost jump game mechanic feel or make you feel? Does it work well within the level?
It took me a while to understand the system. I finally understood how to jump after countless tries, I had to move forward till the edge of the first platform, then jump + boost and move forward. I would continuously try to press all three buttons at the same time and fall.
4. How does punching enemies off the level feel or make you feel? Does it feel like it is testing your reflexes?
Not really, they were just in my way. It felt like I just pushed the enemies so they can fall off the edge.
5. What kind of visual or audio effects would you have liked to see during the gameplay?
I would have liked to see more enemies of different shapes/colors and a better sight of the goal when I start the game. It was hard to predict the distance between the beginning and the end.
6. Does the objective of the game provide a challenge?
Yes, the jumping distance was quite challenging. It took me a while to understand how to use the buttons to jump, boost and move forward at the same time. I eventually reached the goal after many tries.
Edit: After seeing the live playtest, I realized that I did not see the score counter and the red/green bars. Maybe because there was an issue when I downloaded it or it was an older/newer version of Unity.
