Windows first Polygon Tool Line # Crash #305

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Select the Polygon drawing tool.
2.In the input window change Number of sides for polygon
3.Move mouse courser over to view window.
4.Crash

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When you change the number of sides it should give you a polygon with that
number of sides.

If it is your first polygon and you change the number of sides and try to lay
it out on the view window the program crashes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 0.14.0 Windows XP Pro SP3

Please provide any additional information below.

Windows XP Pro SP3 Running in Boot Camp
Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 2.4Ghz

Not only doing it on the first polygon any more it is crashing every time I
change the number of sides.

I could not reproduce this on Ubuntu 10.04. The only thing I noticed was that,
when the number of sides parameter was changed, I needed that field to lose
focus by clicking on one of the other parameters before it would accept the new
value. If I entered the value and moved straight to the view window it would
simply revert to the old value and draw the polygon. Sorry I can't help but,
unless I'm reproducing it incorrectly, it works on Linux.

It is working if I change focus before going to the view window. I was tired
and frustrated and didn't think of that, but it will still crash if I move
straight to the view window and I don't change focus before hand.

Thanks for your comment, it did help, but the problem is not solved.
