Can't progress to second stage #93

As title says, can't continue past the first stage. With a friend I was able to complete the first stage without issues and defeat the boss with no problems. Upon activating the teleporter it would take our money and convert it into exp as normal and "teleport us" off screen. but it wouldn't transition into the second stage. not mod specific, tried a game without this mod and still broke
