This seems to be the oldest report of this bug, so I'll reference this one from other reports.

I think this is possibly related to #3143 (although I've never experienced noticable lag)? Only time this has been reported is when this freeplay animation in specific is present. Maybe it's somehow conflicting with the shaking animation for when you get a new rank? I dunno.
