Bug Report: Darnell (BF MIX) visually lags behind horrendously, while the audio plays on key. #3701

When selecting Darnell (BF MIX) the song loads. Once loaded, the song starts after the timer, but the visuals lag behind to the point you can't even line up the first note. Even after restarting or reloading the song, the issue persists. I have only tested this on hard mode Provided video footage

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Game
  2. Launch Freeplay
  3. Select Darnell (BF MIX) on hard mode
  4. Issue occurs, just lags during that level

How is your computer's performance? Does this happen with other songs? Does this happen on the itch.io Downloadable Build?

Itch.io online. Darnell (BF MIX) was the only song that performed like that for me after the 0.5.2 hotfix update. Performance is good on my pc. i7 processor and 8gb of ram, as well as over 40 GB of unused space. I'll test the downloadable windows build tonight and see if it still persists

Performance of my pc is well, stats stated above

Does not happen with other songs

After Using the Itch.io Downloadable Windows build of 0.5.2, the song was playable (Darnell (BF MIX)) but there was some visual stutter. Nowhere near as bad as the itch.io online build on google chrome. Still slightly noticeable visual lag though, but only for Darnell (BF MIX) the rest of the songs tested performed well as usual.

Sounds like you're encountering https://github.com/FunkinCrew/Funkin/issues/3667 with the visual lag you're experiencing Perhaps Darnell (BF Mix) is particularly resource-intensive.

Im assuming its the fog effect possibly? Idk but yeah, the original report was for the itch.io online build, saw there wasn't a post for it since it was the only song having issues on that build and the website for me. Just thought id report it. Thanks for your help
