One of the things I thought would be interesting is if during the course of the game the player might be able to decide to salvage items that are better than the ones they start with.
For example:
You start with a basic computer. > You find one with better ram. > You harvest it and upgrade your computer before scrapping the rest. > The better ram gives you the ability to unlock more complex minigames, or it affects your browsing speeds, etc.
Why is this a good suggestion?
