silver glitched in crucible

Describe the bug

I prepped my silver and transferred it to my crucible. The crucible disappeared so I bought another 1. It spawned in the game full of silver now no matter how long the torch is on it the crucible stays at 0 degrees Celsius

Hi @sdcole06 thank you for reporting this, one solution for the issue of the silver not melting may be to raise and lower the torch and or turn it off and on again, if the Torch is left in position and left on when transferring metals to the crucible, the crucible will not register that the Torch has become active and should begin melting.

as for the issue with the crucible disappearing that is very strange, and the way the game is coded you shouldn't have been able to just by another one, you may need to provide some more information on this bug so it can help me in finding what has actually gone wrong, if you can provide either your Player Log Files and Save File, that will help me in determining what has gone wrong and where.

I have tried raising, lowering everything I could think of it continues to say 0 degrees I cant do anything with it. what is the steps to get those player log files again

That is certainly very strange, I will look into this. The Chemical set is certainly heading toward a complete rework in the very near future as it is very unstable and filled with band-aid patches, so I will definitely need a clean slate and start fresh with it.

If you raise the torch (press [F] and wait for the animation to finish) then lower it back down again does it start melting? either way I will make it so the torch is raised automatically after each melt to help lower the chances of this happening.

Hopefully I can come up with a solution for a new reworked version that is more stable soon, as the Chem Station is one of the more buggy and unstable areas at the moment

Hello, I have the same issue, although my crucible never disappeared. I can't do anything with the silver. It never goes above 0. I had smelted several bars of Gold prior to trying silver. How can I remedy this? I have spent a lot of time getting to this stage and don't want to start completely over. I can't even use the Chemical bench now because I can't remove or do anything with the Silver. Ty

Update- I just got it to work- Finlay. I turned on the Aerator for 2 mins. While it was still running, I tried the blow torch again. I first turned it on the lowered it. ( I had tried this 20 times already but had no luck until now.) I am thinking, I might have moved it to the Crucible a split second too fast before.
