If you have an Elytra equipped and try to hop, it kind of messes up both your flight and your jumps. My suggestion is to only open the Elytra after the air hops are used up (a la Terraria jump/flight mechanics), with a config option of course.

You should be able to hold sneak to suppress the elytra from opening until all your jumps are consumed.

That... doesn't seem to work? I'm holding both jump and sneak, nothing seems to happen. I don't have any other movement-based mods installed either.

Hmm, might have gotten lost at some point.

Actually, things are relatively okay for now. I've been tapping jump this whole time which also opens the Elytra, if I hold jump the Elytra only opens after the jumps are consumed. Not super ideal, but it works.
