Currently unofficial, "Editor's draft": https://drafts.csswg.org/css-inline/ Primarily intended for initial letters, as far as I can tell.
Apple added support for it in Safari 9: https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/mac/releasenotes/General/WhatsNewInSafari/Articles/Safari_9.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40014305-CH9-DontLinkElementID_3 so it would be nice to have documented on caniuse, if just only to see that it's a Safari-only property for now.
